The mission of Cambean Hospitality’s green lodging initiative, Cambean Earth, is to promote the growth and acceptance of sustainable hospitality operations worldwide through the development and implementation of environmentally friendly systems and practices throughout the Cambean properties. Our goal is to show our guests, as well as the hospitality industry as a whole, that it is possible to be environmentally responsible without sacrificing comfort or style.


Cambean Hospitality was the first carbon neutral hospitality group in the United States. As part of the process, we quantified the carbon footprint for our entire portfolio of properties and invested in a progressive accounting, offsetting, and renewable credit purchase program.

SUSTAIN is a new eco boutique hotel concept which brings together a great vacation location, ecoconsciousness, and resource saving technology.


Behind the scenes, SUSTAIN runs its operations by taking advantage of high efficiency water and energy saving technologies as well as environmentally friendly materials. Through our hospitality initiatives, we use less energy & water, produce less waste, and provide cleaner air. SUSTAIN decreases our guests carbon footprints while still providing them with a great stay.

OUR DEBUT

Our first SUSTAIN location is being introduced at the Majestic Hotel South Beach. This historic boutique hotel is located in the heart of the Art Deco district in Miami Beach. The Majestic South Beach was designed by Albert Anis in classic Art Deco style and was completed in 1940.


South Beach is known as one of the top entertainment destinations in the world. Throughout the year, it is a getaway spot for the many celebrities from around the world who come to enjoy the beach, sun, and nightlife, in style. SUSTAIN is just steps away from all the area has to offer including its famous beach, amazing shops, trendy restaurants, and exciting nightlife.

GREEN LODGING FLORIDA

Launched in 2004, the Florida Green Lodging Program is an initiative of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) that designates and recognizes lodging facilities that make a voluntary commitment to conserve and protect Florida’s natural resources. The program’s environmental guidelines enable the hospitality industry to evaluate operations, set goals and take specific actions to continuously improve environmental performance.


The Florida Green Lodging Program is administered primarily online. To become designated, facilities must conduct a thorough property assessment and implement a specified number of environmental practices in five areas of sustainable operations:

  • Communication and Education (Customers, Employees, Public)
  • Waste Reduction, Reuse, and Recycling
  • Water Conservation
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Indoor Air Quality

Clean the world

CLEAN THE WORLD

Clean the World collects discarded soap and shampoo from the hospitality industry and other sectors that generate environmental waste and recycles it for redistribution. Once the bars and bottles of soap have been collected from hotels and shipped into the warehouse, they are then sanitized and re-packaged for distribution. Since 2009, Clean the World has distributed more than 45 million bars of soap to children and families in 127 countries worldwide while diverting 16 million pounds of hotel waste from North American landfills.

    No. Sorry, we require a major credit card to guarantee your room reservation. Please review the terms and cancellation policy before making your reservation.

  • How do I know if my reservation is confirmed?

    As soon as you have completed the booking process, a confirmation page will appear in your browser session. This page shows all of your reservation details, including the booking number and your PIN code, so you can access your confirmation online. We will also send you a confirmation email with all of your booking information.

  • How can I make a special request?

    During the booking process you can enter any special requests into the "Special Requests" box on the "Your Details" page. Once you have received your booking confirmation, you can follow up with the hotel directly to confirm that your request can be met.   • How do I cancel or modify my reservation?

    Simply follow the instructions to modify or cancel your reservation found in your Reservation Confirmation Email.   • Can I use another party's authorized credit card to pay for my room?

    Yes. However, our hotel will only recognize a credit card on which the authorized payee’s name is clearly present and visible, copy of the payee’s identification and a credit card authorization form is completed and faxed back to our property. You can contact us for the Credit Card Authorization Form and for further instructions if your reservation will have a third party payee.

  • What if I would like to make a group reservation?

    We consider a group to be a reservation of 10 rooms or more. For any group reservations, we request that you contact us directly.
